(My apologies if this has been covered in another thread--I didn't see anything in a quick search).

A bit old (July 2012), but still very interesting--basically PCI-Express v3.0 is a better choice for the future, but at the moment doesn't gain much in the way of real-world gaming performance over v2.0:

Both Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge owners can enjoy solid performance right now with any graphics card(s). :)
