I didn't prep my computer, Just opened it up and switched the parts out, and plugged it in. It runs great, when it turned on windows asked for an activation key for windows 8 which i had luckily. Everything seems to just run fine, faster of corse and way more FPS in games, only tested for a few hours. now the question

Do i need to install any drivers for the parts i swapped out? and do i need to uninstall any drivers that were on the computer prior?

I didn't do anything but turn off my computer, switch parts and turned it back on. Just checking to see if i need something essential thanks.

Whenever you upgrade the mobo & cpu, you should re-install the OS. You want to do this so the OS & new motherboard is in sync. You do not want any of the remnants of the Dell motherboard drivers & bios to become a problem (potential BSOD's or strange OS/motherboard communication behavior). Also, go to the motherboard manufacturer website to make sure you are using the latest bios. Do the same for the new gpu. Otherwise, it appears you have a nice upgrade

Use the Windows 8 "backup" program to create a recovery disk. Click the link to see the video instructions... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5i4vCnMn9Xs
