anyone know where to find master control board update version 22? the link on the collective page only downloads an empty zip folder. not a big deal if it is no longer available, but i like to be up to date if i can. thanks in advance. btw, i've had my 630 for almost a year now and no major concerns so far. (knock on wood.)

Hmm; I just downloaded it here and extracted the "XPS630_MIO_FW_A02.hex" file okay. Could you try downloading it again? The file should be 45KB in size (see attached image).

I don't know why it's not coming through, unless your virus checker thinks it's a virus (highly unlikely though)? :( If you want to, I could try and e-mail it to you as an attachment. Just send me a PM w/your e-mail address if that sounds good to you.

gdonner, i got the attachments, unfortunately there was nothing for me to use. same as when i tried from the collective. i must have a problem on my end. very, very strange. but as i said before, not a big deal. the zipped folder orignal size is 45kb, but it's packed size is 17kb. the unzipped file is also 45kb, but when i go to open it, it sends me to an oline site called softango...???? anyway, i'll just not worry about it. maybe i'll explore my computer and find something out of whack. thank you.

Hmm...in all honesty, I smell a possible virus on your PC--I would get that looked at ASAP!

ok. so i ran malwarebytes, microsoft security essentials, and spybot search and destroy. caught a LOT of bad stuff, cleared it all out. restarted. reran a couple of quick scans again. tried to open those files again. still no go. i was searching the net and found a piece that talks about a file created with 64 bit going to a 32 bit system and having the same problem i have. do you think that could be it? i am running xp pro 32 bit. also i did get a friend to download that file and he got the same result. "the compressed (zipped) folder is invalid or corrupted". i'm starting to believe the file is corrupt. but i'm not computer savvy by any means. any other ideas? thanks again.
