I got a 2-1/2 year old XPS 630i. I use a HP 1025 LCD monitor and a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. OS is Vista Home premium up to date.
When I startup the computer some times, I get the Dell initial screen, then Microsoft screen with green scaning bars, then the monitor goes blank and the LEDs on the receiver ( plugged into a USB port) for the keyboard and mouse go out. The activity light on the front of the computer is blinking. I opened the case and checked to see if all of the cards and connectors were seated properly. I also pressed F12 at startup and tried to run the pre-boot diagnostic tests. Memory checked ok, but when I tabbed to the system test and hit enter, the monitor went blank and the keyboard LED went out. Got tired of "playing" and turned it off. Next startup every thing worked fine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
