Ok so I have an XPS630i I bought a year or so ago that came with dual 8800GT's in SLI. Last night one of those cards died. Now since in my documentation for the computer it came with an XFX install guide I am assuming that is the company who made the card. If that's the case I know they do a limited lifetime guarantee.

I guess my question is, can I get a replacement graphics card or not?

Is the 630i still under warranty?

No the system as a whole is not.

however XFX has lifetime guarantees on their cards. So if thats the brand of card I have would it be covered even though it was part of the premade XPS?

Just from my experience.

A hard drive from a manufacturer usualy carrys a 2 or 3 year warranty but if sold as part of a system that only carried a 1 year warranty then a 1 year warranty is all you get.
This may or may not apply to the graphics card but I have a sneaky suspicion that it does.

I think SteveP is probably right. Usually they are sold as OEM cards which carry different warranties than retail versions.

Having said that, the worst they can tell you is "No". Might be worth a try.
