I have two ATI Radeon 4850 512MB cards in my XPS 630i crossfired and the "Enable CrossfireX" checkbox in CCC is checked. When I play games the temperature of the first card goes above 60 degrees Celsius while the second stays at 44 degrees Celsius. Is this an indication that the second video card is not used fully? How do I make both of them work equally? Is it because the second card has only 8 lanes vs. 16 for the first? Or is Crossfire incompatible with the nVidia chipset? Is my 630i actually using the second card at all?

==========================
- XPS 630 (nForce 650i chipset)
- 2 ATI Radeon 4850 cards with 512 MB (connected with the two crossfire bridges)
- the two fans of the two video cards are set to the same speed (50%)
- all drivers, firmware and software is up to date

Not all games or applications utilize CrossfireX, so that might be one reason.

You might try turning on the CrossfireX Status Icon to see if it's being used. This will display an ATI logo in the upper right corner of the screen when CrossfireX is running.

Right-click the tray icon and select your primary adapter, "CrossfireX Settings", and "Show CrossfireX Status Icon (where applicable)"

Also, I'm pretty sure they're going to use 8 lanes each.

I don't have WoW, so I don't know. Use the above instructions to find out.
