Just thought I talk a little smack, to fire some people up around here.

Yeah, I could see HZF at my rear view mirror for weeks :D I have been played crysis with TRI-SLI mode lately, so I might let him get very close to me (or over)

I have 3 GTX 285. It could go to 10K PPD if it run 1888 or 353 points project. It got really slow with 511 points project around 7800 PPD. And I also have Q9650 SMP client. Average 3500 -4500 PPD. If I run 24 hours none stop. I could get to 30K+ Although I never get to that number yet because I haven't let my computer do nothing but folding yet

That's true. I'm getting around 22k PPD with 2 GTX 285's @ 9800 PPD each, so I can definitely see how you get over 30k. Wouldn't you have to run three monitors though to run three separate gpu clients? I thought you had to have a monitor connected to each gpu that's running a client, no?

What about HZF? How are you doing it?

If you have monitor with multiple input, then connect a second GPU with extra cable into your monitor, then run two GPU at the sametime. I installed the GPU client and in the Appdata folder I copy and paste another GPU client folder. There is step by step instruction at Stanford website for multiple GPU client with two shortcut for GPU 1 and GPU 2 on desktop. Then you go to Nvidia Control Panel Disable SLI mode, go to multiple display enable your second monitor hit apply. Run the GPU 1 short cut and GPU 2 shortcut. If you have trouble with GPU 2 shortcut with a pop up message something like your GPU current don't have a correct driver etc... that mean your second GPU client set up is incorrect.

Get the X58 classified mobo. You could run 3 GTX 295 and 1 single GPU such as 9800 GT. Then you could have a system with 7 GPU clients and 1 SMP client  That would be 70K+ PPD

I knew there was a reason why I should have gotten the GTX 295's instead!!

I've pulled over and turned my hazards on...lifting the hood now, a cloud of steam rolling up and out...

A little too hot right now in my apartment so all folding has been suspended.

When folding the puter does burn 100 more watts of power (in my case, more on the higher end GPUs) and does generate a lot more heat. So I do understand where you are coming from.

I have been curious why some get to about where i'm at and stop. Hopefully its not due to GPU/CPU burnout. lol. As I want to use the puter for some time.

Well, today passed ya by. Seen ya on the side of the road, but seen the tow truck there, so keep on going. Hopefully will see ya in my rear view once things cool down.

Warning: SteveP69

I'm in your rear view mirror and got both whimpy 9800's folding away!!

If you want to hold on to your hard earned # 5, you better get your GPU's going at it..

Just giving ya Fair Warning.

Well, you had fair warning SteveP69, guess you wanted to save on your electric bill, and didn't want to burn that extra 100 watts per hour. (and can't say I blame ya in this tough economic environment)

I'm # 5 now, and looks like I'll be there for some time, as billybigfoot is got a much higher score, or unless someones comes up from below.

Anyone want to make small chat about how folding is going during the hot days of summer?

I know my fans are sure getting a workout... 70 to 100% at nearly all times....
