Hi guys, not sure what's going on. I've been folding for several days now, stopping and starting here and there and everything has been working fine. Well, I stopped the smp client from working the usual way (ctrl + c) prior to doing some work that required all of my cpu's resources for a few minutes, but when I tried to restart the client, it wouldn't start. I typed in the usual command (C:\FAH>fah6) which usually starts it right away, but instead it does nothing. It just sends me right back to the C:FAH> prompt.

I restarted my computer thinking maybe that would help, but it didn't.

Any ideas of how to fix it??

Hey Jdookie,

Try this, http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=10490

I think the client has expired.

That worked. I just saved the file right in the FAH file that I already had without deleting anything. It just added to what was already there. Was this the right thing to do, or should I have deleted everything and started from scratch?

Also, do I need to configure it all over again, or just let it run like it is. It seems to be working fine, just want to make sure points are added to me and the team correctly.

Not sure, but didn't it just overwrite the old file that was there? I think you just drop it in and restart and it should work ok. You can always look at the log file and see if it's the same.

no, it didn't replace the one that was there because the original one was renamed to something easier like "fah6". I ended up just deleting the original, renaming the new one, and using it like that. It seems to be working fine.
