It seems as though the Crysis community is really getting behind Crysis 2 and NOT downloading/pirating the leaked beta. Glad to hear it. It would be pretty cool if the demo was downloaded more than the leaked beta.

Downloaded the official PC demo and so far really don't like what I see. I have to agree with other reviews I've been reading, feels like a COD coppy cat as far as the multiplayeer part goes.

Straight away I encountered the G35 no sound problem. Again from what I read it's not just the G35 but the vast majority of usb headsets that are not being catered for, ok it's a demo and this problem could well be addressed in the full release - fingers crossed then.

Lastly, if the talk going arround is correct, the final release will only support DX9. DX11 support is likely to be an after thought and provided as an upgrade after release.

So this time round instead of rushing out and buying/pre-ordering (as I did with Warhead) I'll be holding off.

Yeah, I'm in the process of canceling my pre-order (which, thankfully, Steam allows).

Any word on whether or not they'll be supporting DX10 at all?
For those of us who have yet to make the switch. There's a lot of us out there.

Greg - can't say as I blame you sir!

kearneybobs - from everything that I can find the release is DX9 only, DX10/DX11 will be a patch release.

Another thought, if this demo is truely representative of the on-line gameplay, where the heck are the vehicles/choppers/vtols? It's not allways about the highest kill rate, sometimes it's hillarious to have the occasional head-on collission, C4 on a chopper etc.

I'm sad that ya'll think Crysis 2 ain't worth it.

:-(

Been keeping up with it and have already found cheats/exploits as I try to keep up with the hacker's world (know your enemy). An unfortunate side effect of beta released multiplayer games--as it was with Medal of Honor--hackers get to work early on.

Me too :( but other than some eye candy, it doesn't at all feel like an improvement over Crysis/Crysis Wars in terms of gameplay, and I certainly don't see it being worth $60...

Yea, I know what you mean. When Dead Space 2 came out starting at $60, I was like...lolwut? I played the first game, which is a console port with glitches, but I liked it enough (it was worth the $9.99 I spent on Steam). Dead Space 2 rolls out--same engine and according to most, the same glitches--$59.99 buck 'o ronnies.

Three weeks later, it has dropped to $39.95 at the EA store and now it's $39.99 on Steam (finally).
