Looks more like it's a cinematic. If not, my computer will explode.

Crysis 2 on the CryEngine 3 simultaneously developed for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

I wonder what the hardware requirements will be for the PC?

Looks good, but I had a heck of a time trying to find an official version of the engine on YouTube (there seems to be a lot of phoney/Rick Astley "gotchas" out there).

Just saw this on Softpedia: CryEngine 3 Has Been Released - New games based on this engine should be more friendly with cheaper computers.

I think it would be even more awesome if they did have a coop section to run through. Like on CoDWaW with 4 players, or Joint operations, etc.. You would think to get more people to play the game they would look at making lower/ medium end pc's more compatible to play

The engine was based around the idea that it should also support a certain versatility and scalability so that it can be supported by the console but also by a PC with lower component specs.

So maybe we can play Crysis 2 with our existing rigs?

That would certainly make my day! :) We might have to lower screen resolutions a little to boost frame rates perhaps, but still..!

Looks good--it would be nice if they'd be more specific about which holiday. Labor Day? Thanksgiving? Christmas?

Anywho, I'm hoping that in addition to being able to explore inside most any building in the city, there's plenty of variety such as underground tunnels/sewers, parks with trees/dense foliage, bridges/rivers--just anything to break up the endless blocks of buildings (which I'm sure will get old after a while, especially in multiplayer games).

Why would Amazon offer the game for pre-order in March if the game isn't available until December? :lolno:

Good question. LOL. :o

I am not going to pre-order it, because I am sure there will be enough copies to go around. Its going to be a good game, but I dont think its gonna be as big a hit like CODMW2 or Halo 3.

Plus, some reviews wouldnt hurt either, just to see exactly how much hardware performance we need to experience all the "eye candy."

Yeah, I'll probably cancel my pre-order. What's the point if the game is still 8 months away? And if the game sells at $50, then the pre-order was only $3 off that price. :(

And they do have great customer service...I complained in an e-mail about pre-ordering in March only to hear that the game is not available 'til December. Their reply:

I want to make sure your order gets to you faster once we have stock. To help make up for the delay, I've upgraded the shipping method to "One-Day Shipping" shipping at no extra charge. Also, I've waived the shipping charges for this shipment. The new estimate for delivery is June 11.

Now the June 11th date may be completely bogus, but having it pre-ordered with free one-day shipping can't be all that bad. :D
