There is a power molex connector on the end of this.
I think it was plugged into the old hard drive.

New hard drive doesn't need it...so what do I do with it?
Will the lights work on it if it is just hanging?

Sometimes there are just extra cords! I have an extra gpu cord and an extra molex cord.

Sorry I havent been around for a while.
ok...I have the pc up and running now. I did not know what the 4 pin IDE was.
It puzzled me why a hard drive would need 3 cables???

Back of hard drive had one 15 pin SATA, one Serial ATA Data Cable and one 4 pin IDE.

When I got the computer whoever owned it had all 3 connected
to the hard drive and then to the motherboard. DUMB!

Now I can say DUMB. I was dumb when I posted this but now I am gaining Smartness! LOL
I read somewhere that having 2 power sources to the hard drive is a bad idea.

ETA: I thought that the power cords inside the pc were lighted. DUH!
The front bezel was missing when I got it and the rear led thing was not working.
