Hello

I have replaced my Dell Motherboard with a EVGA Motherboard. I picked up the Alienware Keyboard and Mouse. I have installed the Alienware Command/AlienFX Software. I can change the colours on the Keyboard and Mouse with Command Center. I still have Nvidia ESA Software installed on my XPS 630 to change the PC lights/LEDS.

Questions:

Do I need to uninstall the Nvidia ESA software.
Currently the Alienware software will not change the lights on my XPS 630.

Any help would be great

The only thing that the software is good for is to change the color of the lights, changing case fan speed, and updating MIO firmware. So, it's up to you whether you want to keep it or not.

I'm not sure if anyone has, can you change the lights with the ESA software? Are the lights on at all?
Is the MIO board connected to the mobo?

Kevin

Before you ask again, you need to answer this very important question:

I'm not sure what else to do. I have a steel series mouse and the software for it can change the lighting on it. Personally, I turned it off because it annoyed me. Sorry I can't be much help.

The Alienware Command Center won't work with the XPS MIO board to change case lights.

The keyboard and mouse have their own separate firmware so the software can detect them and change the color on any machine. But the XPS system has a vastly different control board for lighting than the Alienware systems.

The ESA software won't change the lighting for the keyboard/mouse. It was specifically designed for just the XPS tower functions.
