...and the Indian lady (yeah, big surprise there) was trying to offer me either a full refund or $200 max credit. I turned both of them down, because I'm in this for the long haul, and refuse to accept anything less than what I/we (as 630i users) expect: a 630i as they advertised it. I very carefully (and as politely as I could muster) explained why several times that I was not happy or satisfied with Dell's false advertising and being lied to.

I wonder if they decided to make the offer seeing as the evil scientists have been scratching their collective bald heads for up to 4 months now and still can't sort out the undeniable cock-up they made by choosing the 650i in the first place.

Or am I posting in the wrong forum! :lol:

Nope--you're in the right forum! :)

That call gave me the impetus to post complaints on the following three websites (thanks to Drange!):

www.complaints.com, www.getsatisfaction.com, and www.ripoffreport.com

Dell = FAIL

(okay, I feel a bit better now) ;)

Well that offer they made is as welcome as a fart in a space suit and only goes to proove Dell knows full well that the 650i chipset is as usefull as a chocolate teapot. They are getting desperate and consider $200 credit to be a cheaper option, for them.

The longer they take to get around to doing the right thing the more it's going to cost them to rectify, good!
