Hey everyone,

So yesterday i got an error message which said that my copy of vista home premium 64-bit is not genuine. I tried re-entering my product key code from the sticker on the back of the 630 but it said that it was not valid.

I did change my motherboard a little while back so i was wondering if that was the source of the problem.

What are my options at this point?

Thanks

I wonder why the license is only being rejected sometime after all this (perhaps Windows has a built-in "grace" period)? I hate to say it, but I suspect a new OS purchase may be the only way out. :( I hope I'm wrong..!

I believe you may be able to contact Microsoft and hash it out with them without buying the OS again. MAY, anyway.

(If the OS is Dell OEM, then you might be able to hash it out with Dell.)

Alright so i got it fixed. And it was the dumbest mistake (Made a mistake in the Product Key  ) haha

*note to self: Don't try and look at tiny numbers off the back of a computer at 5:30am. Your eyes will play tricks on you lmao.

Ah, good; IMO those product numbers are starting to get cumbersomely long. My OCD nature forces me to check through them several times before hitting enter just in case I made a mistake. :geek:
