Looks like the awe that Sandy Bridge generated for overclocking and performance may be surpassed soon:

That's just typical! Just get my rig updated & along comes a better bit of technology! LOL!

Going to be interesting to see the benchmarks this new chip produces. And if AMD counters.

So far on the horizon this year, there's this, USB 3.1 and DDR4.

Nice to know the PC isn't as dead as some people think.

Exactly--on the contrary, it's moving faster than ever (following is a perfect example of Moore's Law):

I'm still happy with Titan Z's two little brothers and their price doesn't really make sense. Also, when did FileHippo start doing tech news?

Quite a while ago--IIRC four or five years at least?

OK, I finally bought an Intel Sandy Bridge-E Core i7 3930K. Got it from Microcenter for 499.99. I had an Amazon gift card and ordered an Asus P9X79 Deluxe motherboard for about 150. On a side note its interesting to see the Sandy Bridge-E Core i7 3820 going for as little as 229.99.

Yeah, you can pick up most any fourth-gen i7 PC now for a song!
