Hello all,

Long time lurker first time poster. I am looking at upgrading my mobo, cpu, and RAM for my almost stock 630i. Here are my specs:
Operating System
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1
CPU
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 @ 2.66GHz 52 °C
Yorkfield 45nm Technology
RAM
4.00GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 399MHz (5-5-5-18)
Motherboard
Dell Inc 0PP150 (Socket 775) 59 °C
Graphics
S23C350 (1920x1080@60Hz)
S23C350 (1920x1080@60Hz)
1023MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti (NVIDIA) 35 °C
Hard Drives
149GB Western Digital WDC WD16 00ADFS-75SLR SCSI Disk Device (SATA) 31 °C
699GB Hitachi HDS721075KLA SCSI Disk Device (SATA) 36 °C
Optical Drives
CD-ROM Drive
PBDS CDRWDVD DH-48C2S SCSI CdRom Device
TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-H653F SCSI CdRom Device
Audio
Creative X-Fi Audio Processor (WDM)

The only thing I have done is upgraded the video card a couple of years ago. Here is what I'm looking at for the upgrade:

This is more of a budget upgrade since my max would be $500. Will everything in the link be compatible?

Thank you,

Hi Jack, everything in the link will work fine. You'll need to add a new CPU cooler, since the stock one won't work with your new build. I would recommend the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO:

You might also want to replace your PSU with a new 600W-750W one (though not absolutely required, it would be easier to do it while everything is apart, and would help protect your new hardware investment). Some good brands are Seasonic, and Corsair, but as always, check user reviews first.
