 Post subject: HSI HD Radeon 4830 mod?

A coworker of mine recently bought an HIS-brand HD Radeon 4830 for his custom-built PC: ... chnology/1

...while he understood that it's a lower-cost/feature version, he noticed that there are only two wires from the card going into the four-pin fan connector (one of which he believes is for a speed sensor).

Does anyone know if it's possible to add those two missing wires and gain at least the speed control? He's a tech-type person, so he feels comfortable doing it if necessary--he just wants to make sure this is something doable.
