How long is it taking you to compose the posts?

Right now, the board is set to timeout forms after 166 minutes . . .

Several things could be happening . . . if you select the keep me logged on option when you logon, it should keep you logged on for 30 days. HOWEVER, if your work computer is set to not accept cookies, this may not work.

I am not sure why you are being logged off so quickly . . . you should have 166 minutes to complete a post . . . and you should not be logged off unless you leave the site . . .

I will keep looking for an explanation besides above.

David

Hey David..... I don't see any selection for keeping logged on......What I do see is this selection "Log me on automatically each visit". Is this what you are refering too? If so I don't want to do this cuz others use this computer on days I am not here.

I'd like to clarify what's happening:
Does the page disappear while you're typing or does it tell you it's timed out after you click submit?

The latter might be an issue with the forums. The former is more likely an issue with your browser.

LordFess -

Okay - I have changed a parameter . . . it was possible that you would timeout after 40 minutes with a certain setting. Maybe it took you that long with long posts and work to do?

I have tweaked that setting to be a bit longer . . . see if that improves the situation . . .

David
